For this heritage home in Malvern, Eclectic Creative was engaged to deliver a cohesive interior design that balanced architectural character with contemporary living.
The project focused on custom joinery, material selection and layered interior styling, creating a home that feels considered, functional and enduring. Each space was carefully resolved to ensure continuity throughout the home, resulting in an interior that feels both refined and deeply personal.
A considered approach to interior design in Malvern
Homes in Malvern often feature a combination of period architecture and modern updates, requiring a careful approach to ensure new work sits comfortably within the existing structure.
For this project, the focus was on refining spatial layouts and integrating custom joinery throughout the home. This included detailed cabinetry design, material selections and considered finishes to create cohesion across each space.
By resolving these elements prior to construction, the project was able to progress with clarity, supporting a smoother build process and a more consistent outcome.
Custom joinery and material selection
A key component of this project was the design and integration of bespoke joinery. Each element was developed to respond to the architecture of the home, balancing functionality with a refined, timeless aesthetic.
Material selections were carefully curated to ensure consistency across surfaces, fixtures and detailing. This approach allowed each room to feel connected, while still responding to its individual function.
A cohesive, layered outcome
The result is a home that feels cohesive, considered and reflective of how the clients live. By resolving layouts, materials and detailing early in the process, the design maintains clarity from concept through to completion.
What We Did:
- Custom Joinery Design:
Tailored storage solutions were integrated throughout the home to maximise functionality while complementing the home’s architectural details. Our client was after an-all white Kitchen and the inclusion of shaker profile cabinets and sage green subway tiles helped take it to the next level.
- Material Selections:
Curated finishes for the entire home renovation for carefully considered from Tasmanian oak flooring, to the porcelain tiles in bathrooms and kitchen cabinetry and benchtops, to the fittings and fixtures. We were seeking a timeless, sophisticated overall appeal and we excelled that!
- Lighting and Décor:
A carefully curated mix of lighting fixtures and decorative elements added warmth and dimension, tying together the layered interior design.
