This little Art Deco apartment underwent custom personalised touches to add personality and function.
My client had fallen out of love with her home and was lost as to what furniture to choose, how to set up the space to maximise the function and what to do to make it feel lighter and brighter. The apartment situated in the leafy bayside suburb of Elwood was a cute and cosy little Art Deco block, had amazing bones and features such as detailed cornices, bay windows and newly laid burnished timber floors.
We wanted to create an effortless and calming space for our client to come home to as she spent a lot of her time traveling abroad for work. Our clients beautiful travel pictures formed the inspiration for the serene colour palette introducing a soft blue for the main wall, white custom joinery and a grey textured fabric for the sofa. Custom solutions were designed especially for the apartment including a shelf room divider and slimline console cabinet with leather handle pulls.
